Not a fan of dumbbell workouts
I liked ending with the explosive push-up. My shoulders were throbbing by the last circuit. I just don't like weights for the upper body, I think you can build greater strength with calisthenic movements so I switched to my pull-up bar for the renegade row and weighted lying arm rotation. I did pull-ups instead - slow and controlled and worked the muscles much to much greater effect. Moving from the pull-up bar to the push-up with cross toe touch was brutal. I will work the explosive push up into other workouts but I don't think i'd do this one again.
Challenging and front loaded
This was a good arms workout with a lot of the work on the front half with 6o second cycles. I always enjoy the third circuit of 20 seconds cuz it’s a cinch after the 60s and 40s. :)
