I find such exercises are much easier if I imagine myself as a squid. ("I am the squid, and the squid is me.") Certainly, many people over the years have seen fit to tell me that I lack a backbone.
I liked the dead bug exercise, new and interesting . Not a very hard core workout, but it's possible I'm just really strong now after doing group hiit workouts (and calisthenics) for 15 months!
