"Eleven weeks ago I did not know what to expect when I started Group HIIT. I am a stay at home mom with three kids. My youngest is ten months old. I knew I wanted to get in shape and lose some of my baby weight, but I was not in a place financially to join a gym nor did I have the time to leave home for a couple of hours each day.
I set three big goals for myself and one additional goal that would be icing on the cake. My goals and the order I wanted to complete them are:
1. Run (without stopping) a full lap (1.67 miles) around the park I visit
2. Run/walk the length of a 5K in under thirty minutes
3. Run the length of a 5K without stopping
4. (Icing on the cake) Get down to my pre pregnancy weight
Today I officially checked off all the items on my list. I ran the length of a 5K in 28.40 minutes without stopping and I am back down to my pre pregnancy weight. I am beyond thrilled with the progress I have made. I feel great! Most importantly though is that I am the healthiest I have been in a LONG time.
It has been an amazing journey. I have signed up to do another 12 weeks and I am setting new goals for myself to work towards.
