Good Morning Exercise

Good Morning

The Good Morning exercise is an excellent way to target and strengthen your hamstrings and lower back while promoting good posture. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your knees slightly bent. Keep your back in a neutral position, ensuring it's straight and not arched. Place your hands gently behind your head or at your waist, with your elbows pointing out to the sides.

Now, as if you're greeting the morning sun, hinge at your hips and lean forward. Keep your back straight throughout the movement, and lower your torso until you feel a gentle stretch in your hamstrings. You don't need to bend your knees any further.

Pause for a moment in this stretched position, feeling the tension in your hamstrings. Engage your glutes and use their power to return to a standing position. Remember to maintain a neutral back, keep your shoulders down and back, and focus your gaze straight ahead.
