Supine Pigeon is an effective, but easy hip stretch. It can be used as a modification for other pigeon poses. Begin lying on your back with knees bent towards the ceiling and your feet hips-width apart on the mat. Bring heels close to hips. Cross ankle over opposite knee, creating a figure four shape with the legs. Thread arm through "eye of the needle" created with legs and bring hands to back of grounded leg. Hug grounded knee toward chest. Perform pose on other side.
