Supine Twist is a therapeutic spinal twist which creates length in the spine and hips. Begin lying on your back and hug your knees to your chest. Keeping both knee touching, allow your knees to fall to one side, stacking one knee on top of the other. Keep shoulders grounded so that the chest is open to the ceiling.
Modifications: If knees do not reach ground, you can support under the knees with a blanket, pillow, or block. If shoulders lift away from the ground, try folding a blanket underneath lifted shoulder for support.
